Accounts, Payroll & Compliance Administrator – Part‑Time Remote

About the role

Our client, an innovative charity supporting students in mathematics, is seeking a part‑time remote Accounts, Payroll & Compliance Administrator. You will lead finance, compliance, HR and operational support, ensuring smooth, compliant growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping, reconciliations, ledgers, fixed‑asset registers and banking systems.
• Process income streams, including JustGiving and Stripe, and handle Gift Aid administration and claims.
• Prepare management accounts, cash‑flow forecasts and audit‑ready reports.
• Run payment cycles, expense processing and credit control.
• Coordinate payroll, pensions and year‑end processes (P60s, P11Ds) and submit to HMRC.
• Act as primary contact for regulatory matters, Charity Commission reporting and annual returns.
• Provide HR support, answering payroll and HR queries and ensuring policy compliance.

Required profile

• AAT qualified or equivalent experience with at least five years in finance, HR and compliance.
• Minimum three years payroll processing experience, including SSP, maternity, parental leave, sickness, annual leave, P60, P11D and pension auto‑enrolment.
• Integrity, discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

What we offer

• Part‑time contract: 5 hours per day, Monday‑Friday (25 hours/week) with potential to increase.
• Salary £35,000‑£45,000 pro rata.
• Training support and handover period.
