Actuarial Lead – Capital Modelling (Remote/Flexible)

About the role

This is a rare opportunity to lead the capital modelling function for a growing specialist insurer. You will work autonomously, partnering with senior leaders to influence strategic decisions and help build in‑house actuarial capability as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the capital modelling framework across the organisation.
• Collaborate with pricing, reserving and commercial teams on analysis and decision‑making.
• Support Solvency II reporting and broader regulatory deliverables.
• Drive project work that addresses business needs, applying analytical approaches to complex problems.
• Lead the transition of capital models, solvency processes and actuarial reporting to an in‑house environment.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience in pricing, capital modelling or reserving within retail insurance.
• Part‑qualified or newly qualified actuary.
• Motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced setting.

• Salary between £60,000 and £80,000 per year, dependent on experience.
