Advanced Team Member – Manufacturing

About the role

KP Snacks, part of the Intersnack family, is hiring Advanced Team Members for its Ashby de la Zouch site. You will own a specific piece of equipment and act as a subject matter expert, helping keep the line safe, smooth and efficient. The role uses problem-solving tools, daily management systems and the IWS ways of working to reduce waste and support continuous improvement, and includes coaching and training colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Owning and improving equipment performance, keeping it maintained, safe and running at optimal level
• Carrying out testing procedures, checking work against quality standards and maintaining hygiene and housekeeping
• Using problem-solving tools to eliminate losses and applying IWS principles and daily management systems to resolve issues and reduce waste
• Training and coaching colleagues to run, maintain and understand the equipment safely
• Working with the team, communicating clearly via the Shift Board and supporting daily line targets

Required profile

• Experience in manufacturing or food production (highly desirable)
• Good literacy and numeracy, able to follow instructions and record information
• Proactive approach to solving problems and ownership and accountability
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Required skills

• Mechanical understanding and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to identify issues with mechanical components and support problem-solving

Shifts are 12 hours, day and night (06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00), on a 2-2-3 rotating pattern.
