Agency Team Manager – CIN Service (CP/Court)

About the role

Leicester City Council is looking for an Agency Team Manager to lead a team within its Child In Need (CIN) and Court service. This temporary full‑time position runs for at least three months and offers a rate of £45 per hour. The role is based in Leicester and requires the manager to be present in the hub three days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of social workers delivering child protection, CIN and care‑proceedings support.
• Ensure practice is child‑focused and meets essential performance standards.
• Oversee assessment, intervention and planning to respond to individual needs.
• Collaborate with an Advanced Practitioner and senior colleagues on service development.
• Maintain high‑quality case records and supervise staff performance.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker, fully registered with Social Work England.
• Minimum three years post‑qualification experience in a local authority setting.
• Previous experience as a Team Manager in children’s social care, including supervision of staff.
• Working knowledge of child protection, CIN and court processes.
