AI Development Lead

About the role

Zurich is accelerating its AI transformation and seeks an AI Development Lead to drive AI adoption across its Life, Health and Bank Distribution businesses. The role offers flexible working arrangements in the UK and will be central to building and scaling cutting‑edge AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support colleagues across Zurich Life, Health and Bank Distribution to become confident and self‑sufficient with AI, creating value‑driving use cases.
• Lead prototyping of machine‑learning and generative‑AI solutions and guide them to production using cloud tools.
• Collaborate with the newly‑formed AI Lab and mentor teams on best practices and the art‑of‑the‑possible.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into actionable AI solutions and communicate outcomes to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to Zurich’s digital transformation by redefining processes, solutions and enterprise platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience applying AI/ML to solve business problems, preferably in a large, regulated industry.
• Passion for mentoring and up‑skilling colleagues in AI technologies.
• Comfort with ambiguous problems and ability to design practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex AI concepts to non‑technical audiences.
