Assistant Accountant – £35k, Hybrid, ACCA Support

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a growing financial services organisation in London. This graduate‑level position offers the chance to develop technical accounting skills across management accounts, reporting, reconciliations, VAT, audit support and finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform reconciliations and support VAT returns.
• Assist with audit preparation and finance operations.
• Collaborate with senior finance leaders and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Finance, Accounting or Business‑related degree, or studying towards an accounting qualification.
• Strong ambition to study towards ACCA.
• Previous experience in finance or accounts payable is beneficial but not essential.

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills.
• Understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping and accounting principles.
