Assistant Management Accountant, Music

About the role

Our client, a leading music and talent management group, is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join its small, high‑functioning finance team in London. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will support day‑to‑day finance operations and month‑end reporting across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records across multiple entities using cloud‑based finance systems.
• Process purchase invoices, staff expenses and company card transactions.
• Prepare and manage weekly payment runs.
• Support sales invoicing and debtor management.
• Own month‑end readiness, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Prepare month‑end working papers and assist with group reporting submissions.
• Assist with VAT returns, cash‑flow reporting and management information.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual administration.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the Finance Director.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in a financial operations or accounting role.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet day‑to‑day management requirements.
• Part‑qualified or studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
• Passion for the music and entertainment industry.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud‑based finance systems.

What we offer

• Salary £40,000‑£50,000 per year.
