Assistant Manager – Pub

About the role

Join a multi‑award‑winning pub group as an Assistant Manager, supporting the General Manager to deliver a warm, welcoming experience for guests at The Pheasant Inn in the Lake District.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring high standards of service.
• Lead and motivate a front‑of‑house team, modelling a positive, collaborative attitude.
• Manage shift schedules, handle busy periods, and respond to guest enquiries, including occasional overnight stays.
• Perform administrative duties such as stocktaking, ordering, and basic accounts management.
• Liaise with chefs, suppliers and other stakeholders to maintain smooth service flow.

Required profile

• Proven experience in food and hospitality environments.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Ability to inspire, mentor and develop team members.
