Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Temp to Perm (Mobile)

About the role

We are looking for a commercially‑minded Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 client on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. The role is mobile, covering high‑value projects (£2‑12 million) across London, Thorney Island and Brize Norton in the South East.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing a range of sub‑contract packages, including structural, M&E, fire stopping, doors and paint & decorating.
• Shadow an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, receiving day‑to‑day training and mentorship.
• Support the preparation of cost estimates, tender documentation and contract administration.
• Travel between sites as required, ensuring timely on‑site presence.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with a strong commercial mindset and high level of drive.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle for daily travel.
• Proven experience working for a main contractor on projects of similar scale (£2‑12 million).
• Flexibility to adapt to changing site environments and mobile working patterns.
