Audit Senior

About the role

The Audit Senior will lead audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of professional services clients, ensuring high‑quality delivery and compliance with accounting standards. Based in Eastleigh, you will work closely with clients and junior staff to provide expert advice and maintain strong relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and complete audit assignments for a varied client base.
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with relevant regulations.
• Identify audit findings and communicate clear recommendations to clients.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering their development.
• Maintain client relationships and offer expert accounting and finance guidance.
• Assist in drafting audit reports and documentation for senior management review.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop tailored audit plans.
• Stay current with changes in audit regulations and accounting standards.

Required profile

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Proven external audit experience within professional services.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and audit procedures.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Effective communication skills for client and team interaction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office tools.
