AWS DevOps Engineer (Hybrid, Leeds)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join a globally recognised FinTech in Leeds. The position is hybrid, with two days on‑site and three days remote, and focuses on building and evolving a modern cloud platform for critical business services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and manage secure, scalable, highly‑available AWS environments.
• Drive cloud transformation initiatives and migrate legacy platforms to cloud‑native solutions.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and automation tooling.
• Partner with product, infrastructure and security teams to deliver resilient production platforms.
• Champion cloud best practices, governance, compliance and operational excellence.
• Optimise cloud performance, reliability and cost efficiency across the estate.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering cloud transformation and migration programmes.
• Strong hands‑on AWS expertise across core services.
• Experience building and operating cloud‑native solutions at scale.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, IaC and automation.
• Understanding of cloud security, compliance and governance frameworks (ISO, NIST).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
