Band 3 Receptionist/Administrator (Full‑time)

About the role
This permanent, full‑time position provides the first point of contact for patients, staff and visitors within the Older Adults Community Mental Health Team. You will work in a busy, multidisciplinary hub delivering friendly, professional front‑desk service.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a busy telephone line, answer enquiries and direct calls appropriately.
- Monitor, record and book appointments for the mental health team.
- Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail, ensuring timely action.
- Process clinical letters and other correspondence while maintaining confidentiality.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary team members, GPs, social workers and external agencies to provide administrative support.
Required profile
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise workload under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
- Experience in a reception or administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
