BD & Marketing Manager - Finance

About the role

The Business Development & Marketing Manager – Finance will join the London office of a leading UK law firm, working closely with senior partners to shape and deliver growth strategies for the finance practice. This high‑visibility role blends strategic planning with hands‑on execution, supporting client acquisition and market positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development and marketing plans aligned with the finance practice’s objectives.
• Build and nurture relationships with partners, lawyers and external stakeholders to drive client growth.
• Lead marketing campaigns, thought‑leadership programmes, events and sponsorship activities.
• Support pitches and proposals with market and client insights.
• Manage directory submissions, awards programmes and monitor competitor activity.
• Track budgets, measure ROI and report on the performance of BD initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven business development experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and a record of supporting revenue growth.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing abilities.
• Highly organised, analytical and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Proactive team player confident to advise and challenge senior stakeholders.
