Bid Manager / Writer – Construction Tender Specialist

About the role

As a Bid Manager/Writer supporting a major London main contractor, you will craft clear, compelling bid responses that showcase the contractor’s expertise across education, residential, commercial and public-sector projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams, planners, design managers and operational leads to develop bid content for PQQs, ITTs, frameworks and major tender submissions.
• Analyse client requirements and scoring criteria to create win themes and value propositions.
• Translate technical details – buildability, logistics, sustainability, social value and programme strategy – into concise, high-scoring responses.
• Maintain and enrich the bid content library, update case studies and capture lessons learned for future submissions.
• Support the wider bid function by improving the quality and consistency of all tender documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience working on public-sector frameworks (e.g., local authority, education or government programmes) and understanding quality-weighted evaluations.
• Familiarity with private-sector construction bids is advantageous.
• Confident engaging with site teams and senior stakeholders, able to challenge and refine technical input.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines without sacrificing clarity or accuracy.
