Block Manager – Residential Property Management

About the role

This role offers an experienced Block Manager the chance to join a respected residential property management firm in Hove. You will oversee a diverse portfolio of blocks, build lasting relationships with leaseholders and contractors, and contribute to delivering a first‑class service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of residential blocks, ensuring compliance with legislation and lease obligations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with leaseholders, freeholders, Resident Management Companies and contractors.
• Prepare and manage service charge budgets in collaboration with the accounts team.
• Arrange maintenance, repairs, planned works and oversee contractor performance.
• Handle insurance claims, health and safety compliance and other statutory requirements.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve property management issues efficiently.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Block Manager or Property Manager handling residential developments.
• Excellent knowledge of residential leasehold management and current legislation.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Calm, professional approach to disputes and issues.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors and residents.
