Bookkeeping Manager – Accountancy Firm

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeping Manager to join a niche accountancy firm in central London. The role involves delivering high‑quality bookkeeping and VAT services to high‑profile clients across the music, sport, film, TV and creative industries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal portfolio of individual and corporate clients, ensuring service excellence.
• Prepare and process bookkeeping assignments and VAT returns using Xero.
• Process payroll end‑to‑end where required.
• Potentially train, mentor and review the work of junior staff.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of VAT legislation and bookkeeping standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping and VAT return experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong, current knowledge of UK VAT regulations.
• Experience working with high‑net‑worth clients in a professional environment.
• Desire to develop a long‑term career within a specialist firm in Zone 1.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Xero accounting software.
