Broking Manager - Commercial Insurance

About the role

Everywhen, the UK-based broking and advisory arm of the Ardonagh Group, is looking for a Broking Manager to join its Glasgow office. The role leads the day-to-day management of the Commercial team and maintains a designated portfolio of clients as Account Handler, building strong, trusted and profitable client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the team day to day and support the Team Director, who keeps overall responsibility for the Commercial team's book of business
• Ensure Account Handlers process renewals accurately and follow company processes and procedures
• Handle management administration for Account Handlers (holidays, sickness, absence)
• Identify recruitment needs, interview candidates and implement training for new starters
• Deal with performance issues and set personal training plans and appraisals for direct reports
• Provide a quality service to existing clients, advising, reviewing and securing cover at a competitive premium
• Handle new business, mid-term adjustments and renewals in the relevant markets, and deal promptly with telephone enquiries

Required profile

• Extensive insurance broking experience, able to prioritise and organise workload to meet deadlines
• Excellent relationship skills, enthusiasm and problem-solving ability
• Team leader or people management experience is an advantage
