Business Development Lead

About the role

Goodlord is building the gold‑standard platform for renting and needs a Business Development Lead to create its Sales Development Representative (SDR) function from scratch. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will design the strategy, select tools, and hire an early‑careers team that will become the engine of commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the SDR strategy, playbook and processes.
• Recruit, coach and mentor a brand‑new team of graduates and early‑career talent.
• Experiment with tooling, automation and AI to improve outreach efficiency.
• Balance outbound motions across Enterprise and Mid‑Market segments.
• Collaborate with sales leadership to shape one of Goodlord’s core growth functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience coaching and developing inexperienced hires into high‑performing SDRs.
• Significant background in B2B SaaS sales development, including team‑lead or player‑coach roles.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a strong “builder” mindset.
• Hands‑on attitude – willing to demonstrate best practices rather than manage from afar.

Required skills

• Deep familiarity with Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Experience with Outreach or Salesloft.
• Enthusiasm for AI‑driven sales automation tools.
