Business Support Manager – North Region (Aberdeen/Inverness)

About the role

The Scottish Ambulance Service is hiring two Business Support Managers for its North Region, based in Aberdeen and Inverness. This full‑time, hybrid position supports safe, effective ambulance services by providing governance, information management and administrative leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Provide business management support to the North Region Management Team.
• Lead workforce planning, establishment management and recruitment activities.
• Support regional governance, risk management and assurance processes.
• Analyse performance data and produce reports with recommendations.
• Coordinate service improvement initiatives and regional projects.
• Manage administrative and business support functions.
• Assist financial monitoring, budget management and resource planning.
• Liaise between operational services and corporate departments such as HR, Finance and Workforce Planning.

Required profile

• Experience in business management, operational support or service improvement.
• Strong organisational, planning and project‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to analyse data and produce management reports.
• Knowledge of governance, performance management and workforce planning.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
