CFO – Regulated Payments Fin‑Tech (London)

About the role

We are seeking a strategic CFO for a fast‑growing, FCA‑regulated payments platform based in the City of London. Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO and working closely with the Board, you will shape financial strategy, drive performance and support the next phase of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and Board reporting.
• Build scalable governance, financial control and reporting frameworks.
• Oversee safeguarding arrangements and ensure FCA regulatory compliance.
• Manage treasury, liquidity and cash‑flow across complex payment flows.
• Provide commercial analysis and insight to support growth and profitability.
• Influence commercial decisions and contribute to business strategy.
• Drive sales pipeline initiatives and support new‑business development.
• Lead external provider relationships and capital‑raising activities.
• Develop and lead the finance team, fostering high performance.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Group or Divisional CFO.
• Background in regulated payments, fintech banking, neo‑banking or e‑money.
• Senior finance leadership with responsibility for multi‑entity structures.
• Strong expertise in financial controls, treasury, forecasting and safeguarding.
• Hands‑on experience in FCA‑regulated environments.
• Commercially astute with ability to advise the CEO and Board.

What we offer

• Salary £160,000 – £180,000 per annum
