Chief of Staff

About the role

As Chief of Staff you will be a core member of the leadership orbit, working directly with Valentin (Co‑Founder) to translate high‑level vision into operational reality. You will sit at the intersection of Growth, Strategy, Finance and Operations, leading Cortea’s UK and international expansion.

Key responsibilities

• UK Market Building – spearhead Cortea’s entry into the UK, adapting processes, hiring and go‑to‑market strategy.
• Founder Force Multiplier – act as a proxy for the founders in internal and external meetings, ensuring decisions are made and projects stay on track.
• Strategic Initiatives – lead high‑impact projects such as AI‑driven pricing models or sales‑to‑onboarding funnel optimisation.
• Scaling the AI‑Native Operating System – build repeatable processes, meeting cadences and AI‑powered automation to support growth toward €100m+ ARR.

Required profile

• 4+ years in high‑velocity environments (strategy consulting, investment banking or VC‑backed startup).
• Strategic operator with the grit to dive into spreadsheets or legal contracts.
• Strong financial fluency – P&L management, financial modelling and SaaS metrics.
• Exceptional communicator able to distil complex AI and financial concepts.
• High agency, native English (German a plus), willingness to travel to Berlin and right to work in the UK.
