Class 2 LGV Driver – Food Logistics

About the role

We are looking for a Class 2 LGV Driver to join Best Food Logistics in Banbury. You will be the face of our flexible multi‑temp delivery network, transporting food and drink products to retailers across the UK. The role involves manual handling, multi‑drop deliveries and ensuring products arrive intact and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders safely, on schedule and in full, following the delivery plan.
• Complete all required paperwork such as delivery notes, credit forms and collections.
• Perform pre‑trip safety checks, maintain the vehicle log and report any defects.
• Collect empty equipment from customers and return it to the depot.
• Adhere to all driving legislation, working time regulations and food‑safety/chill‑chain standards.
• Participate in driver debriefs and carry out any additional tasks assigned by shift management.

Required profile

• Valid LGV Class 2 licence and a current CPC card (newly qualified drivers are welcome).
• Ability to work 48 hours per week, including Saturdays and public holidays, with potential overtime.
• Good physical fitness for manual handling and multi‑drop routes.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UK road safety and driving legislation.
• Understanding of food‑safety and chill‑chain requirements.
