Class Teacher – Primary School (Fixed‑term)

About the role

Ravenswood Community Primary School in Suffolk is looking for two enthusiastic Class Teachers to join its inclusive learning community from September 2026. This fixed‑term position offers the chance to inspire young learners across a broad curriculum while contributing to a school that values academic excellence and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated lessons in literacy, mathematics, science and creative subjects such as French, computing and PE.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, resilience and a love of learning.
• Use data‑driven methods to assess, monitor and report pupil progress, supporting all learners including those with SEND and EAL needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and external agencies to provide holistic support for pupils.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, school events and staff meetings.
• Adhere to safeguarding, behaviour management, health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and ability to deliver high‑quality teaching.
• Commitment to the academic, social and emotional development of all pupils.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, reflective approach with a willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
