Clinical Negligence Lawyer (2+ PQE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Lawyer to join a well‑regarded, people‑focused law firm in the North West. You will work within a collaborative team handling a diverse mix of claimant clinical negligence matters, from complex high‑value cases to routine claims.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception to settlement.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, correspondence and key litigation documents.
• Advise clients empathetically, managing expectations throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Liaise with counsel, medical experts, courts and other third parties.
• Attend client meetings, conferences and hearings as required.
• Proactively manage deadlines, limitation periods and case progression.
• Maintain accurate, compliant and audit‑ready files in line with SRA, Lexcel and AML standards.
• Contribute to team collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, CILEX or experienced fee earner.
• 2‑6 years’ experience in clinical negligence litigation.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload autonomously.
• Strong understanding of the clinical negligence litigation process and CPR.
• Excellent drafting and communication skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Client‑focused with a professional, empathetic approach.
