CNC Setter/Operator – Precision Machining

About the role

Join a modern, high‑specification machining environment where you will operate and support advanced CNC machining centres to produce high‑precision components for demanding industries. You will apply your expertise in 3, 4 and 5‑axis CNC milling or turning, develop and optimise CNC programs, and ensure the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling and turning machines to manufacture precision components.
• Develop, modify and optimise CNC programs for 3‑, 4‑ and 5‑axis operations.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models and technical documentation.
• Provide technical support to operators throughout the machining process.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturability and recommend drawing or process changes.
• Test and verify all CNC programs before production runs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a CNC machining role, preferably within aerospace, defence, nuclear, petrochemical or automotive sectors.
• Strong knowledge of 3‑, 4‑ and 5‑axis CNC milling or turning.
• Familiarity with Hurco, Dugard, Daewoo or Haas control systems is advantageous.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a positive, flexible attitude.
• Excellent team player with strong communication skills and a commitment to quality.
