Commercial Account Handler – Household & Residential Landlord Insurance

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Commercial Account Handler to manage a portfolio of household and residential landlord insurance clients. You will provide professional support across policy administration, renewals, new business opportunities and day‑to‑day account management.

Key responsibilities

• Administer client policies, process mid‑term adjustments, renewals and claims queries.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned portfolio.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation and deadlines in line with FCA regulations and GDPR.
• Communicate clearly with clients, brokers and insurers, explaining policy details in simple terms.
• Collaborate with internal teams while working independently to resolve coverage gaps.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of household insurance policies, including bedroom‑rated and high‑net‑worth requirements.
• Understanding of residential landlord cover requirements and underwriting terminology.
• Professional email and phone etiquette with strong listening skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with standard office PC systems and data entry accuracy.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £35,000‑£45,000 per year (depending on experience).
• Full‑time permanent role, Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5:30 pm.
