Commercial Finance Advisor – SME Lending

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Finance Advisor to join a leading London‑based financial services provider. In this hybrid role you will work with SME clients, guiding them through the full funding journey and matching them with the right commercial finance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound and self‑generated enquiries from SME clients seeking business loans, asset finance or invoice finance.
• Conduct thorough fact‑finds to understand each client’s objectives and financial situation.
• Advise on, structure and submit applications for the most appropriate funding products.
• Maintain end‑to‑end case ownership, liaising with clients, lenders and introducers until drawdown.
• Develop and nurture relationships with existing clients, lenders and referral sources.
• Keep CRM records accurate and ensure all activity complies with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial or business finance, particularly SME lending.
• Strong understanding of business loans, asset finance and invoice finance products.
• Consultative sales approach with the ability to match client needs to suitable solutions.
• Excellent attention to detail while managing multiple cases simultaneously.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and comfortable building rapport with clients and partners.
