Commercial Lease Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Lease Manager to join a respected independent property business in Eastbourne. The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of commercial leases, ensuring obligations are met and commercial interests protected.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial lease portfolio from acquisition through renewal or expiry.
• Negotiate lease renewals, rent reviews, licences and variations with landlords and tenants.
• Monitor key lease dates, obligations and compliance to minimise risk.
• Maintain accurate lease records and property management systems.
• Provide commercial lease advice to support property and asset management decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with landlords, solicitors, surveyors and internal teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing commercial property leases.
• Strong understanding of commercial lease agreements and relevant legislation.
• Experience in a regulated environment such as social housing is desirable.
• Knowledge of the Sussex commercial property market is an advantage.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
