Compliance Monitoring Lead

About the role

Compliance Monitoring Lead for the Lloyd's Market Commercial Division, a newly created senior position responsible for owning the compliance monitoring function within a leading Lloyd's business. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will shape the monitoring framework, methodology and annual plan, influencing how the function operates and evolves.

Key responsibilities

• Own and develop the Compliance Monitoring Framework, methodology and annual plan.
• Deliver risk‑based monitoring, thematic reviews, deep dives and control testing.
• Identify control weaknesses, trends and emerging risks and drive remediation.
• Produce clear, impactful reporting for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
• Work closely with first‑line business leaders, providing constructive challenge while maintaining second‑line independence.

Required profile

• Lloyd's/London Market compliance experience is essential.
• Proven experience designing or developing compliance monitoring frameworks and methodologies.
• Confidence operating with senior business stakeholders and challenging constructively.
• Strong understanding of FCA, PRA and Lloyd's regulatory requirements.
• Experience across insurance/reinsurance; Bermuda and/or reinsurance experience advantageous.
• Strong analytical, communication and report‑writing skills.
