About the role
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to join our team in East Grinstead. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining machine control functions, ensuring safety, and supporting both internal and customer sites.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain a functions list for machine control, cross‑referencing to control circuits.
- Guarantee safety in design and implementation, both on‑site and at customer locations.
- Provide technical guidance and advice to other departments.
- Liaise with site teams to ensure smooth interaction between site and controls engineers.
Required profile
- Experience with Siemens S7 PLCs.
- Proven software design experience for control systems.
- Strong fault‑finding abilities.
- Experience in modifications and maintenance of control equipment.
- Knowledge of Schneider Unity is beneficial.
- Background in the automotive industry or bespoke machinery is highly beneficial.
