Corporate Governance Team Manager

About the role

The Corporate Governance Team Manager will lead the development and continuous improvement of the ICO’s corporate governance framework, ensuring it remains robust, compliant and aligned with strategic priorities. Reporting to the Corporate Governance and Secretariat Group Manager, you will act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders and support high‑profile projects that shape organisational operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance the ICO’s corporate governance framework.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on governance matters to senior stakeholders.
• Support and lead governance‑related projects and strategic initiatives.
• Integrate governance processes across the organisation and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Lead, mentor and manage a Governance & Secretariat Support Officer.
• Contribute to the credibility and effectiveness of the overall governance function.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Professional judgement and the capacity to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in leading governance or compliance initiatives.
• Proven leadership and people‑management skills.
