Data Analyst – Business Intelligence

About the role

Join Transport for London’s Asset Strategy team and help shape the future of London’s transport network. As a Data Analyst – Business Intelligence you will develop and maintain asset investment models, turning complex data into clear, evidence‑based investment plans.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of Asset Investment Models using TfL’s Decision Support System.
• Design, build and maintain business reporting and analytics solutions with Power BI, M, DAX and SQL.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues across multiple asset datasets.
• Interpret, manipulate and analyse data from diverse sources to provide actionable insights.
• Produce accurate, timely outputs understandable by stakeholders with varying technical knowledge.
• Deliver statistical analysis using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Create supporting documentation and provide training on tools and reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience analysing and manipulating complex, multi‑source datasets, including spatial data.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain management reports using Microsoft tools.
• Strong quantitative and statistical analysis skills.
• Experience working with document management systems such as SharePoint.

• Permanent, full‑time contract (Band 2) with a salary of circa £37,500 per year.
