About the role

The Director of People & Culture will join the pre‑opening team of Delano London, shaping the hotel’s culture from day one. Reporting to the General Manager, you will act as a strategic HR partner, ensuring the brand’s values are embedded and that the hotel attracts, develops, and retains top talent.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership on all people‑related matters, providing advice and guidance.
• Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and procedures in line with UK employment law.
• Lead high‑volume recruitment to build a talent pool and support succession planning.
• Collaborate with department heads to create development pathways and career progression.
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and engaging workplace that reflects Delano’s values.
• Manage talent reviews, performance management, and employee relations cases.
• Drive the “Do More” community initiative and support European/global HR projects.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of progressive HR experience within the hospitality sector.
• Pre‑opening experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment legislation, and HR best practices.
• Culturally aware, globally minded, and able to inspire diverse teams.
