Director, People Business Partner – 12‑month Maternity Cover

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director, People Business Partner to provide a 12‑month maternity cover for its London operations. The role will lead People & Capability management, partnering with business leaders to design and execute people strategies that drive performance and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a people strategy aligned with business priorities and growth plans for a specific line of business or market.
• Partner with senior leaders on change‑management initiatives, ensuring employee engagement throughout transitions.
• Provide advice, coaching and support on talent, employee relations, workforce planning and reward matters.
• Manage and deliver core People & Capability programmes for a large or complex business geography.
• Collaborate with Centres of Excellence, Payroll, Shared Services and other Business Partner colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Supply data‑driven insights on talent trends, market conditions and regulatory implications.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing local People & Capability operations, including change management, talent forecasting and succession planning.
• Track record of advising and coaching business leaders on employment matters and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with COEs and other key stakeholders.
