Director – Strategic Leadership for Top Law Firm

About the role

The Director will provide strategic leadership across key practice and operational areas of a leading top‑200 law firm. This full‑time, on‑site position in Greater London is responsible for ensuring the firm meets its objectives while maintaining the highest client service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee multiple teams, manage resources and guide senior stakeholders on business planning.
• Drive financial performance, monitor budgets, KPIs and risk management.
• Collaborate with partners to develop growth initiatives and improve processes.
• Support delivery of complex legal matters and foster a culture of accountability and inclusion.
• Represent the firm in external engagements, building relationships with clients and industry contacts.
• Ensure compliance with UK regulatory and professional standards.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong background in law, business management or related discipline; qualified lawyer or advanced degree (MBA, LLM) highly beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to manage financial performance, budgets and KPIs with sound commercial judgment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in operational improvement, change management and best‑practice implementation.
