Electrician – In‑house Maintenance Team

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our client’s in‑house maintenance team, delivering high‑quality repairs, installations and refurbishments in residential properties. The role focuses on fault diagnosis, customer service and ensuring homes remain safe and functional.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on single‑ and three‑phase electrical installations, including shower and immersion element replacements.
• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR), testing & inspection and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
• Prepare and issue electrical installation certificates for minor works.
• Report urgent repairs or health & safety defects to the Qualifying Supervisor promptly.
• Maintain van stock, manage material usage and comply with health & safety policies, including clean‑shaven mask fitting.
• Participate in out‑of‑hours emergency service as required.

Required profile

• Hold C&G 2330 and C&G 2382 qualifications (essential); C&G 2391 highly desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work with limited supervision and make routine decisions.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with colleagues, customers and vulnerable residents.
