Employee Relations HR Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Employee Relations HR Advisor to join our education‑focused team on a temporary basis. You will help create a supportive workplace where staff feel valued and heard.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures and grievances.
• Collaborate with managers to improve communication and team dynamics.
• Conduct investigations into employee concerns and present recommendations.
• Assist in developing and implementing HR policies that promote a positive environment.
• Deliver training and workshops to equip staff with effective employee‑relations tools.
• Stay current with employment legislation and best practices to ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Strong background in employee relations or HR advisory roles, preferably within the education sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a genuine interest in employee well‑being.
• Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
• Relevant HR qualifications (e.g., CIPD) are a plus.
• Enhanced DBS (update service or new) and a valid driver’s licence.
