Employment Law Consultant

About the role

Citation, one of the UK's largest providers of HR, employment law, health and safety and other compliance services, is hiring an Employment Law Consultant. The role is fully remote or a hybrid split between home and the Wilmslow office, and suits a Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Paralegal who enjoys both legal and HR practice. It is a blended consultancy offering end-to-end employment law advice and practical HR support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end telephone support for clients' employee relations needs, acting as a single point of contact for employment law and HR topics such as disciplinary, grievance, TUPE and early conciliation
• Identify and evaluate risks and claims so clients can make informed decisions on running their business
• Offer ad hoc proactive and reactive support, including HR training, facilitating disciplinary and grievance hearings, and TUPE and redundancy consultations
• Support clients with exit negotiations and keep their businesses compliant with employment law

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or working towards one of these qualifications, or
• Experience providing employment legal advice in private practice or consultancy, or
• A minimum of 3-4 years in an internal HR role
• Experience advising on complex and varied employment law and HR issues
• Passion for helping clients meet their business needs
• Desirable: experience independently conducting meetings with employees
