Engineering Project Manager – Capital Projects

About the role

Muller UK & Ireland is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead capital projects across its dairy manufacturing sites. Based in Skelmersdale, you will partner with site directors to deliver innovative engineering solutions that support growth, automation, net‑zero targets and asset resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a strategic partner to Site Directors, aligning capital investments with long‑term site goals.
• Lead the full project lifecycle from concept through to completion, ensuring governance, compliance and efficiency.
• Deliver projects focused on capacity expansion, automation, energy reduction, asset replacement and facilities upgrades.
• Maintain strict health, safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards throughout all project phases.
• Support multiple sites, providing expertise across the UK network.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing engineering capital projects in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong understanding of capital investment processes, compliance and governance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior site leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
