About the role
Teaching Personnel is recruiting qualified English Teachers for a range of secondary schools in Exeter and surrounding areas. The role involves delivering engaging English Language and Literature lessons, inspiring a love of reading and writing, and supporting students to achieve strong academic results.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver dynamic English Language and Literature lessons to secondary pupils.
- Motivate students to develop reading, writing and critical thinking skills.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit full‑time, part‑time or supply arrangements.
- Maintain safeguarding standards and complete required training.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
- Proven experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
- Valid enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
- Commitment to child protection and safeguarding policies.
