Enterprise Financing Credit & Risk Officer

About the role

Near East Foundation is looking for an Enterprise Financing Credit & Risk Officer to lead the execution and scaling of its global enterprise financing platform. The role bridges credit architecture and deployment, turning proven financing models into repeatable underwriting, monitoring, and risk‑management processes across fragile and underserved markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement disciplined credit frameworks, approval processes, and partner‑risk models for blended‑finance and outcome‑based instruments.
• Oversee portfolio monitoring, restructuring, and recovery pathways for revolving, evergreen, and guarantee‑linked funds.
• Collaborate with HQ finance, program, and operations teams as well as decentralized country credit teams.
• Travel up to 40% to country offices and partner sites to support on‑the‑ground implementation.
• Maintain alignment with NEF’s design principles of deep reach, inclusion, responsible financing, and last‑mile impact.

Required profile

• Professional experience in credit, underwriting, portfolio risk, or private credit.
• Proven ability to translate credit architecture into operational execution in complex, underserved markets.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in risk analytics and partner‑risk oversight.
• Willingness to work in a decentralized, multi‑country environment.
