Equity Finance Trader – Associate

About the role

The Associate Equity Finance Trader will support short‑coverage requirements for Prime Finance clients by leveraging securities lending and derivative financing markets. The role sits within JPMorgan’s Global Equities Prime Brokerage team, delivering integrated financing solutions across equity and fixed‑income products.

Key responsibilities

• Trade securities finance on equity and fixed‑income product sets across global markets.
• Participate in risk management of the prime business, including FX, cross‑currency basis, interest‑rate and dividend exposures.
• Manage financial resources such as balance‑sheet, capital and liquidity to minimise inefficiencies.
• Produce market commentaries for internal and client audiences.
• Drive process improvements and workflow automation.

Required profile

• Prime Brokerage industry knowledge, including cash and synthetic financing.
• Middle‑office or product‑control experience.
• Self‑directed, highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong teamwork and leadership potential, with the ability to engage senior partners across geographies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, tailored to diverse audiences.
