Events Specialist, Regional Events and Field Marketing

About the role

Checkout.com's Regional Events and Field Marketing team supports the end-to-end management and execution of hosted and sponsored events to drive business growth for its UK and Europe commercial teams. As an Events Specialist, you will work with regional marketers to develop and run an account-based marketing strategy covering events, experiential marketing and global initiatives, and will support the execution of regional and global events.

Key responsibilities

• Help develop and execute a regional event strategy, including regional events, experiential marketing and major global initiatives
• Support end-to-end event planning: vetting, sourcing, budget management and on-site execution, coordinating with cross-functional teams
• Contribute to audience acquisition plans and audience targeting based on inputs such as TAM, ICP and personas
• Help manage KPIs, reporting and data analysis, and summarise programme performance with recommendations
• Optimise event processes for scalability and efficiency, and help document them
• Communicate clearly with external parties and deliver programmes within the guidance of senior team members

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar role (3+ years), preferably in payments, fintech or an event agency
• Self-starter, data-driven and proactive about new ideas
• Strong organisational and project management skills, able to handle several projects at once
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills with good attention to detail
• Willingness to travel 20%-40% of the time for event management
