Fabricator/Welder – Contract (6 months)

About the role

Our client, a leading engineering company, is looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join the team on a six‑month contract. You will carry out general engineering and welding tasks, supporting the production of large high‑tension cable connections.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding to a high standard.
• Utilise MMA, braising and gas welding techniques.
• Work primarily with mild steel and occasionally with stainless steel.
• Complete additional fabrication tasks as required.

Required profile

• Apprentice‑trained fabricator welder.
• Significant experience in MIG/TIG welding.
• Experience with MMA, braising and gas welding is advantageous.
• Ability to work with mild steel and other materials.
• Strong fabrication skills and willingness to perform hand grinding and simple machine‑shop work.

What we offer

• 6‑month contract with possible extension based on workload.
• 39 hours per week (Mon‑Thu 7:15 am‑4:15 pm, Fri 7:15 am‑12:15 pm).
• Pay rate of £17.89 per hour (PAYE).
