Fashion Designer – Jersey & Woven Dresses

About the role

We are partnering with a leading global garment supplier to hire a Designer (or Senior Designer) who will create jersey and woven dresses for market‑leading brands. Based in London, the role works within a collaborative, fashion‑forward team and offers a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Translate runway and street‑style trends into commercial jersey dress collections using research data and global trend trips.
• Present trend insights, mood boards and CAD designs directly to buyers.
• Collaborate with in‑house graphic designers, product managers and overseas supply‑chain partners to ensure seamless design‑to‑delivery.
• Work with R&D to source sustainable, cost‑effective fabrics and trims that support speed‑to‑market.
• Develop balanced multi‑product ranges for a youthful, fashion‑forward market while maintaining an elevated aesthetic.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing commercial ladies’ jersey dresses in a supplier or retail environment.
• Ability to blend a youthful, fashion‑forward aesthetic with a more formal, polished design language.
• Strong technical knowledge of jersey fabrics and garment construction.
• Experience working with overseas production teams.
• Highly collaborative, enthusiastic team player comfortable in a global creative network.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD for fashion design.
