Field Engineer

About the role

DeterTech is seeking a motivated Field Engineer to join our Operations team in Bristol. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and removing battery‑operated security solutions for a diverse range of clients, helping to keep people and communities safe every day.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and de‑commission security equipment at client sites across construction, energy, utilities, rail, retail, government, law enforcement and vacant properties.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Provide on‑site technical support and act as the primary point of contact for any issues that arise.
• Document work performed, report findings, and recommend improvements to service processes.
• Work independently while adhering to health and safety standards and company policies.

Required profile

• Strong technical aptitude with a hands‑on approach to field work.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work alone safely and efficiently in various environments.
• Good communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
