Finance Business Partner – Children’s Services

About the role
The Finance Business Partner will support the children’s and education service within a local government setting. This contract role lasts at least six months and offers a competitive daily rate.
Key responsibilities
- Guide managers through budgeting and planning processes.
- Identify and resolve financial procedure issues.
- Calculate and reconcile staff budgets against establishments.
- Prepare DMT reports and monitor relevant grants.
- Handle Oracle‑related queries, set up new cost centres, distribution sets and memo lines.
- Ensure monthly recharge journals are accurate and loaded.
- Assist with the annual budget load exercise and preparation of budget virements.
Required profile
- Experience working in finance within local government or public sector.
- Understanding of SEN and high‑needs budgeting is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Required skills
- Oracle financial systems

- Daily rate up to £500.
