Finance Controller – Hospitality Sector

About the role

We are partnering with a leading London‑based hospitality group to appoint a Finance Controller responsible for a strategically important multi‑entity portfolio. The role combines financial control, reporting, governance and commercial partnership, working closely with senior operational leaders to drive pace, accountability and strong financial discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end finance delivery for a key multi‑entity portfolio, ensuring pace, quality and output.
• Lead the monthly close process, delivering accurate P&L, balance‑sheet and cash‑flow reporting.
• Maintain a clean, well‑governed balance sheet across all entities with reconciliations completed and reviewed.
• Manage key schedules including accruals, pre‑payments, payroll, capex, intercompany and provisions.
• Ensure a robust financial control environment with clear documentation, approvals and audit trails.
• Maintain audit readiness year‑round and lead year‑end and statutory reporting.
• Oversee weekly cash forecasts, challenge assumptions and identify risks early.
• Partner with Treasury and senior leadership to understand cash impacts of commercial decisions.
• Act as senior finance partner to operational leaders, providing support and constructive challenge.
• Deliver performance insight on trading, margins, controllable costs and site contribution, and support commercial decision‑making.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to drive pace, accountability and strong financial discipline.
• Experience ensuring compliance with group financial policies, internal control frameworks and delegated authorities.
• Proven capability to act as the financial voice at senior operational tables.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to provide performance insight and challenge forecasts.
