Financial Accountant – 18 month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

This 18‑month fixed‑term position combines hands‑on accounting with strategic finance responsibilities for the client’s UK non‑insurance entities. You will act as a trusted adviser to the Head of Finance and senior management, supporting tax, reporting and planning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate accurate accounting and financial reporting for UK holding and service companies under IFRS, German GAAP and UK GAAP.
• Prepare internal management reports, forecasts and variance analysis for group and local stakeholders.
• Produce statutory accounts and Senior Accounting Officer deliverables under UK GAAP.
• Maintain robust control, governance and documentation for all UK financial accounting deliverables.
• Manage UK tax compliance, including corporation tax, VAT, transfer‑pricing documentation and local tax strategy.
• Support statutory audit processes by delivering finance and accounting information.
• Provide financial advice to directors and senior managers of UK entities.
• Assist with intercompany recharge allocations and related reporting.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with several years of experience in UK corporate finance.
• Proven ability to work with multiple accounting standards (IFRS, German GAAP, UK GAAP).
• Experience in tax compliance, statutory reporting and audit coordination.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to communicate financial insights to senior stakeholders.
