Financial Controller – Finance Leader for High‑Growth Fashion Retailer

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing fashion retail brand in Central London. The role can be part‑time (3‑4 days a week) or full‑time for the right candidate, reporting directly to the Managing Director and leading the finance function during a period of ambitious growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the budgeting and forecasting cycles, collaborating with departmental heads.
• Partner with the Managing Director to deliver the 5‑year strategic plan.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and accompanying analysis.
• Produce the statutory financial statements.
• Manage VAT returns and ensure compliance.
• Implement robust financial controls across the business.
• Recruit, develop and lead a finance team as the company scales.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (or qualified by experience).
• Experience within the fashion retail sector.
• Background working with an outsourced factoring business.
• Hands‑on, strategic mindset gained in an SME environment.
• Ability to work autonomously while shaping finance strategy.
